Local/Home Setup

To get started, download the PAUI+ Installer and ensure that your Windows 10/11 is fully updated. If you are using antivirus software, please ensure that you allow PAUI+ and Port4WRD.

Having these .NET Runtime and VS16 and VS17 Redistributable prerequisites readily available will be invaluable in addressing any potential issues that may arise during the installation process. It's a proactive step that can save you time and frustration!

If you want to share your website with other computers, verify that your firewall's inbound rules for HTTP and HTTPS are open.

If you are on a Business Internet Plan and wish to use the Static/Public IP address provided by your ISP, please follow the guide below for the production setup.

Production Setup

This guide outlines the steps to install PAUI+ and configure the firewall for HTTP and HTTPS on cloud platforms, including AWS and Dedicated Servers.

  • Requirements for a Smooth Installation
    1. A Windows Server instance (version 2019 or later is recommended).
    2. NET 8.0 Desktop Runtime. Download here...
    3. VS16 and VS17 Redistributable. Download here...
    4. A domain name associated with your server.
    5. It is highly recommended to use Cloudflare DNS for managing your domain.
    6. Ensure that your SSL/TLS encryption is set up. The current encryption mode should be set to Full.
  • Prepare your Windows Server
    1. Use Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) to access your Windows Server.
    2. Ensure your server is fully updated by navigating to Settings Update & Security and checking for updates.
    3. Download and Install PAUI+ Installer
    4. Download and Install Fonts (Optional for better GUI) Download here...
    5. Firewall set up. Go to Control Panel Windows Defender Firewall.
      1. Click on "Advanced settings" on the left panel.
      2. Select "Inbound Rules" and click "New Rule" on the right panel.
      3. Choose "Port" and click "Next".
      4. Select "TCP" and Specify local ports: Type 80, 443
      5. Click "Next", select "Allow the connection", and then click "Next" again.
      6. Check All "Domain, Private, Public" and click "Next".
      7. Name the rule: Allow HTTP and HTTPS and click Finish.

When using Amazon/AWS EC2, it's essential to integrate your firewall into your Security Groups or your cloud provider's firewall settings.
